Global Health Symbol Set
Marks & Symbols
Twelve symbols for the Global Health Conference, Sri Lanka

GOALS
Create a fresh symbol set, that represents topics discussed at the Global Health Conference.
CONCEPT OVERVIEW
The Global Health Conference is an annual event which promotes the health of humanity. It's aim is to bring together academicians, clinicians, public health professionals, health workers, and policymakers to order to discuss positive ways of promoting well-being for all.

IDEATION
Researching the event informed which topics to include in the symbol set. From there, my partner and I explored many styles, color scheme, and imagery in order to create a final result that felt refreshing and professional.
We found that the icons were most successful with a unified pop of yellow and clean geometric shapes.

COLLATERAL DESIGNS
My final designs included a key poster, which intended to showcase the final symbol set within the brand of the conference. Other collateral featured items that could be used during the event, and taken home by guests.

FINAL POSTER & RETROSPECTIVE
My partner Sarah Sivjee and I worked through many iterations (shown above) of our final poster. It was exciting to see our final symbol set come together; designing the poster was one of the most rewarding pieces to this design challenge.
The most time intensive part of the project was creating a cohesive set of rules such as weights, curves, and angles that could be applied uniformly to all symbols.
